Journey to Sedona
My Vision
Simply put, I produce the most memorable dining experience for my clients in Sedona, AZ. With roots from Cape Verde and Cape Cod, my creations are full of flavor and showcase locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. In the same respect, as my parents instilled the importance of time around the table, I believe in taking care of the kitchen while you dine with friends and family...because a little pampering goes a long way.
Experience:
Growing up with 5 siblings, David learned his way around the kitchen, which led to pursuing a deeper understanding of cuisine. Following this tasteful passion, David was mentored by a top graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, to later co-operating a catering company in Boston, MA for 7 years. For a 2-year span, they were the exclusive caterers for the Boston Concert on the Common – servicing backstage guest such as BB King, George Benson, Whitney Houston, Doug Flutie, Marvin Hagler, and Jack Nicholson to name a few. David has also dwelled with the likes of the Boston Mayor’s Office, private bank investors, and yacht events. Upon relocating to Sedona, David switched gears to manage a restaurant and a budding family. He later moved into timeshare, becoming the top producer of Sales – this sparked creativity in the kitchen and led to sharing meals with his clients. As opportunity presented itself, David began private dining experiences for his clients and grew to servicing visitors across Sedona, Prescott, Flagstaff, Scottsdale and Phoenix.

Chef David was a delight for our group of hungry guys from TN and NC! We gave him the reigns and he created for us an incredible dinner of lamb shanks and more! When we come back for more of that Sedona mountain biking, Chef David will certainly be a staple of our trip!

Sedona, like many resort areas in the West, is not memorable for its cuisine. A shining star in Sedona however, is Chef David DaLuz. David offers professional catering services, and of course, an unparalleled taste experience. Delivered with humor and sharp wit, David cooked multiple courses in my kitchen, which built a family gathering feel into the dinner party! Everyone thought he was great! The dinner was a huge success!

Best Tasting Food, Best Value & Experience!!!
Chef David provided our family gathering with a fabulous turn key meal and positive experience. It’s obvious that he has earned his name as Chef David Delights because he has a warm, fun, and lively personality plus an artistic magic with fresh food that is delicious, filling and appealing for everyone. He made the best Chocolate Decadent dessert that any of us have ever had before. Our appetizers included Stuffed Zucchinis and a Chicken Stir Fry that were a meal in themselves. Our entrée of Short Ribs with a rich Gravy, Potatoes, Vegetables and Cornbread all melted in our mouths, Plus, there were plenty of leftovers to keep us happy for several days afterwards. I highly recommend Chef David. He was a stand out during our vacation in Sedona!
